Musette in D (Bach) | Easy Piano Sheet Music

In 1725, Anna Magdalena,  Johann Sebastian Bach’s wife, was presented with the Anna Magdalena Bach Notebook, which contains a collection of Baroque dances such as the minuet, gavotte, polonaise, march, rondeau, and musette– and includes the following Musette in D, BWV Anh. 126. These Baroque dances were used as introductions to Baroque-style, two-voice counterpoint.  It is believed that the pieces in the notebook were composed by not only Johann Sebastian Bach, but also by many other Baroque composers like Johann Christian Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Johann Gottfried Bernhard, Johann Gottfried Heinrich, Christian Petzold, Georg Böhm, François Couperin and others. Musette in D remains one of the most popular pieces among classical musicians.
